During the Investec Super Rugby break, the Chiefs are set to play the Wasps XV from the Bay of Plenty and the Cavaliers XV from Counties Manukau on Wednesday 20 June at Rotorua International Stadium.

The tri-match will see the Wasps XV coached by Kevin Schuler and the Cavaliers XV coached by Tana Umaga play each other for a half a game before each playing another half against the Chiefs. Entry to the match is $2.00 and gates open at 2.45pm.

Chiefs Assistant Coach Tom Coventry said “It is an opportunity to get the team back together and have some match practice for the next stage of our season.”

“It is also good for us to connect with our Chiefs region and it also gives the players involved with the Wasps and the Cavaliers a chance to match up with our boys and put their hand up to play ITM Cup for their Provinces.”

Game 1: 3.00pm Wasps XV v Cavaliers XV
Game 2: 3.50pm Chiefs v Cavaliers XV
